JUST A WALK IN THE WOODS
I walk through the woods, up the hills and back down, sometimes following critter paths, (after all they know their way through the woods,) over fallen trees, into open meadows, to the light and sunshine and to the dark and shadows. I stop to see each tree, the colors and shapes, I stop to smell the decayed underbrush and fallen leaves, and I stop to listen to the wind high in the tops of the trees. I know the forest well and then bid it farewell, until next time.
