Artist's Description

WILSON PEAK EARLY SPRING

I've always wanted to find a close location of this iconic, Colorado mountain. At 14,023 feet, this mountain has come to epitomize Colorado's ruggedness. Coors Brewing, founded in 1873, used an image of this peak on their Coors Light can. Long before Colorado was settled the Ute Indians named the peak "Shandoka" which translates to Storm Maker because of the clouds typically formed around the peak indicating an incoming storm.
